Acne Scars
Acne scars are best treated using the Fraxel Restore treatment to resurface the skin and restore healthy cells from the damaged tissue. Five treatments are recommended, spaced about 1 month apart. The treatment takes about 35 minutes and requires an additional 45 minutes pre-treatment for application of topical anesthetic. There is minimal downtime, which is some redness and swelling, that can last 2-3 days.
Stretch Marks
Stretch marks are another common problem for women and men that can occur with pregnancy, or weight fluctuation. Stretch marks can also be treated using the Fraxel Restore system. Five treatments are recommended, spaced about 1 month apart. The treatment takes about 45 minutes depending on the area and requires an additional 45 minutes pre-treatment for application of topical anesthetic. There is minimal downtime, which is some redness and swelling that can last 2-3 days.
Hypertrophic Scars/Keloids
Hypertrophic scars and keloids can be treated with a combination of treatments. Depending on the size, these scars can be treated with steroid injections, Fraxel laser treatments, or surgical revision. The optimal treatment can be discussed at the time of consultation since the treatment plan will vary by patient.
